I was so uncomfortable when I took this picture.

I was out running with my husband, when it started pouring down raining. I was tired, soaked and had mascara running down my face, but I just had to stop and take this picture. This uprooted tree spoke to me.

Some of us are planting ourselves in comfort, when we’re supposed to ground ourselves in faith…and we wonder why we’re so easily shaken or “uprooted” by everything around us. Whatever God is calling you to won’t be comfortable. It might not be pretty and it will likely be scary at first, but that’s where trust comes in.

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. -Proverbs 3:5-6

So what are you avoiding out of comfort? Starting a business? Going back to school? Vlogging? (me 🙃)

Your path may not be easy, but if you are grounded in faith, you will not be uprooted. You cannot fail. Whatever it is that you’re terrified to do, just do it. Nothing good ever came from a comfort zone, but all kinds of crazy, miraculous things came from faith.
