Vote for Jesus

Happy Election Day!!! If you’re like me, you’re not too enthused about voting this year. The U.S. presidential race has not been very inspiring or hopeful, and as politics usually does, it has brought out the worst in some of our peers. My social media timelines are flooded with candidate bashing memes, posts criticizing members of opposite political parties, and even racially themed, hateful rants. It seems like the only thing that’s “happy” about election day is the fact that it’s about to be over, and the madness will soon die down.

As we anxiously await the election results, I just wanted to remind you of who REALLY holds your future, Jesus. It’s easy to forget that when we’re watching debates and listening to speeches about the issues that affect Americans. We are concerned about things such as: affordable healthcare, jobs, taxes, and safety, and we want a promise that all of these things will be taken care of. Well, I have good news. They already are!

Matthew 6:25-33 says:

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]?

28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

If you’re searching for the perfect candidate here on Earth, I wish you luck, but you will never find one. The only perfect candidate is Jesus. Anytime you question who’s going to take care of you, or look out for your best interest, think about who does that for the birds. He is your keeper and He will care for you.

So, stop your political rants on Facebook, and re-friend those people you blocked because of difference of opinion. Show your support for Christ by being Christ-like. Putting your faith into any man on Earth, let alone, a presidential candidate, is a waste of time. Put your vote wherever you please, but put your faith where it counts! Whether the 2016 headlines read President Trump or President Hillary, the eternal headline will ALWAYS read King Jesus. Make your faith great again!

I’m just here for the “Make your Faith great again!” I really needed to read that today because tomorrow everyone’s true colors will show depending on these results and I almost did not want to come to work tomorrow because of it. This hate is beyond ridiculous & petty. Thanks for this message, I love your posts & I cannot wait until your platform gets bigger! Great job sis!

This is true I mean my timeline is full of critics its ridiculous it makes no sense to me at all. Who ever wins this election won’t change anything and if they do change something it will corrupt the world. Go bless us all
